Needs music. I'd suggest some funk, or maybe some nice Lovage. Something to keep in the mood, you know? All this wham, bam, thank you ma'am gets a little old. Maybe some of the trees could be birch, or walnut, or something. Some exotic choices.

I noticed it said I fell into a bottomless grue. Maybe that could be a game. Are grues sexy? Would I want to see a topless grue?

Pretty sweet

The voice acting, writing, music, level design, and basic mechanics were all awesome. There were some annoying collision detection bugs, and it could be a little slow, but I liked the way it wasn't entirely a platformer, and not entirely a puzzle game. Playing the game again after beating it offered a great catharsis too, just running through levels, ignoring switches, and pissing off the narrator.

I actually needed a walkthrough for level 16, since its logic sort of broke from everything up to that point. Which is a good thing. I loled when I found out the "Party music" button really played party music.

Anyone else find Super Mario Joe?

Mad science!

For so long I've dreamt of the scientific possibilities of completely discarding ethics. What would happen if patients could trade brains? Can an ape carry a half-human baby? Your game lets me feel like I'm conducting the very same research. And a simple look to the right shows that there is no zombie game remotely similar to this. That saddens me, but I thank you for having the vision to create this.

I loved everything about this

The art was fantastic. I love your style, I loved every panel, the character designs, the story, the composition, all of it. I feel the pictures allowed this story to transcend its simplicity and shortness, and to allude to about a million other things, vague memories, myths, tales, dreams. Just, kudos.

Pro tip: If you have trouble finding differences, you can look at the pictures cross-eyed until they overlap. Anything different between panels will appear transparent. Naturally, this doesn't work if they are arranged vertically, and it is still difficult to see things in the darker areas of the pictures.

Awesome

I didn't really know Flixel could do this. This game is so awesome, we're probably going to be talking about it a few years from now in the same breath as Cave Story and Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden. Even with the familiar Metroid elements, it's unique enough to stand on its own; all the game mechanics work perfectly, the writing is fun, the boss battles look scary but aren't over challenging, and best of all there are tons of things to discover. The music in the ????? world was good enough to make me stay there a while, even though it's practically a void. There is just so much here.

Thank you, stranger.

What the shit?

How is this game even rated so low? There's just no logic with you people. Now, the game is hard. Not quite I Wanna Be the Guy hard, but still hard enough to be funny. A button dashes, S button jumps. You play it like Mario; it's not rocket science. Give PIGPEN his props. With the right timing and a good dash, you can get halfway through a level in a way that's nearly poetic.

Probably the best game Adult Swim's made

This game is deceptively simple. I just never seem to get bored of it. The presentation is sick and awesomely complete. Dug the Birdo joke, and the whole game "manual", really. What probably makes it work though, is that you are playing as a ninja, and can actually move as a ninja - lightning fast and deadly. If the controls had been off, or the game had run slower, it wouldn't be half as good as it is, so that's pretty crucial. Great job, guys.

Pretty cool

This got kind of frustrating a couple of times, like when you have to find specific bugs and kill them, since the right type spawned slowly about half the time. Otherwise, it was fun as hell. One other thing is, it'd be sweet if killing yourself was an achievement. That was my favorite part.

Fuck yeah!

Congratulations on being totally badass. I didn't think I'd be bombing Indian deities with napalm and shooting lasers and fire at them when I woke up this morning, but there it is.

Smartest man in the world!

This was just hilarious. I'm sorry I ever played this without sound on. The "achievements" are a pretty big part of the game, giving it a bit of that unique and memorable quality. That thing about "secret street art meetings" cracked me up. But that dude singing about "fuck it" was pretty great, too. So, yeah, this was awesome.

Also, didn't really realize the title was a double entendre without sound, either. That was pretty crucial.

I like stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

the fanciest one

never again
